The main objective of this course was to understand the complexity of the phenomenon of abandoned space and to see if it has any potential for transformation into new open public spaces. Project represents an intervention in the form of reconstruction of the inner courtyard within the housing block near Dadov Theatre. New microambintes which rely greatly on an already inherited physical structure and character of the existing space are realized with minimal architectural and urban intervention. With inversion of physical structure, public space becomes a house and the structure of public space becomes the structure of the house (walls, rooms, communications). These microambients are specific since they are creating private environment in a public space. This is achieved with rooms becoming scenes which allow the most diverse surroundings for all users involved (students, theatre visitors, residents of the surrounding buildings). The city authorities insisted on this project and it was done in cooperation with the municipality of Vracar, Belgrade and the public utilities. There is some uncertain possibility that the project will be executed for real, if the construction is financed by the city government. Also, this project was sent to the competition on the Belgrade Salon of Architecture 2015 in category for the best student elective course project in the previous year.

 

Povodom Dana planete Zemlje koji se obeležava 22. aprila, UG Atelje Studio u saradnji sa UK Parobrod, raspisali su konkurs za izlaganje radova, i organizuju izložbu radova sa temom „DAN ZA PLAN(ETU)“. Ovaj rad je izbran na konkursu u 30 radova iz svih oblasti u kategoriji od 200 pristiglih radova.
