JKJ Sustainable Shoe

This project became an attempt to push the boundary of sustainable design through shoes.
Thorough research was put into this project. We looked and compared the footwear industry to the car industry.
The production of both industires leave behind alot of waste. Waste that cannot be reused or recycled. The car industry is leaning towards more efficent and enviromentally friendly was of energy used in cars. A similar concept was drawn from that to our concept.
 
Making the upper and sole detachable from one another.
Upper: Using materials such as Nylon a washable upper, or a leather which has a long life span.
Sole: Using TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) 100% recycable
Innersole: Natural Rubber
