It is a project that explores tangible and physical ways for presenting information. The dolls are used in a remote safety monitoring context to present health data.
This information is based on heart rate, temperature and accelerometer sensors from a smart watch. The information is presented encoded with colors in the body parts of the doll. In addition to the visual output the doll presents a haptic simulation of the heart beat.
The dolls were part of a larger research study regarding the use of physical data visualizations(physicalizations) for remote monitoring tasks.

Using a Samsung Gear watch, the data is gathered from the user in real time, presented in the doll and stored for other visualizations and other possible uses.
