This project had the challenge of balancing out the high density of staff on each floor against the wish to create an inspiring workplace.
The age group was identified as predominantly new graduates, & so we looked for a way to give them smaller, more social scale team groupings; moving away from long less personal benching. The solution we created was a series of elements that formed broken walls between groups, able to fit within the tight spacing restrictions; & offer casual seats. Out of 1000 staff planned in traditional benching, CIRCA was able to offer a new direction with 977 work places; a drop of only 23 but achieving diverse planning. The central area forms a café hub where town-halls & team discussions can take place.
