After working previously with the Knox College Music Department on a Winter Jazz Series poster, this poster was commissioned the following year for the annual winter jazz event held at the campus. This particular event focused primarily on poetry, specifically poems of the great Langston Hughes. Thus, the design channels a harlem winter setting to establish a tone for the evening itself. Once again, the 'Knox purple' was incorporated as the primary color palette.
