Thomas E. According to World Vision International, one child below the age of 5 dies approximately every 90 seconds from polluted water and other causes. The charitable organization hopes to change that statistic. Since it began providing clean water over two decades ago, World Vision has found that 80 percent of its wells in Ghana remain usable, a number far higher than the industry standard. The organization report from 2011 to 2014 shows more than 7,000 wells and over 350,000 sanitation facilities.
World Vision invites those interested in supporting its mission to help with fundraising efforts. Possibilities include joining an existing walk or run or forming an individual fundraiser.
