This is the best logo that I have designed to date because it incorporates a fair amount of symbollism within a simple design that is effective in color, black and white and reversed.  The first symbol is that of a swatchbook (think Pantone.) We have long utilized the image of a swatchbook in the branding for my husband's software products because they are tools for designers that allow them to look for and at preset files.  The second symbol is the peacock. The name Argus was taken from mythology.  The giant argus was all-seeing and said to have one hundred eyes.  Upon his death, Hera gave his eyes to the peacock. The software program allows the user to be "all-seeing" with regards to their preset files. The third symbol is the can of paintbrushes which is similar to the icon within Photoshop. These three symbols work together to create a single unified logo.
