Ruins act as emblems of the passage of time and reminders of the past are often used as eveidence of “authenticity” as a way of pin-pointing an origin.

These are sculptures using every day detritus from the streets of Archway, London, to create modern day ruins. These ruins were then used to build new structure, to explore the relationship between present urban decay and historic monuments of the past.
