YOU ARE HERE
is a group show curated by Ryan & Garovs, inspired by an unassuming but meaningful theme: Home.
For this exhibit, they did not have to look very far when selecting the participating artists. Using their own collection as reference, they sorted through a diverse pool of artworks, old fliers and catalogs, as well as text messages and photos that they liked on Instagram. It resulted in a list of more than 100 artists and friends, who were invited to contribute any art piece that defines what home means to them.
Art presents a different experience when it becomes part of a living space. It develops into more than just an embellishment or a conversational piece, but a vessel that holds the homeowner's dreams, emotions, and complexities. You Are Here is a massive celebration, an artistic effort, a personal tribute. Most importantly, it is an invitation to home.
