For the last few years urbxing has been a hobby of mine. The wonderful thing about photography is that it captures a moment in time that would otherwise just pass by, like people would pass by these objects and places. Below is a selection of photography taken at various locations in Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas.
Below photos were taken at a family owned site, with most treasures having wonderful family history of which I had never heard until then.
The next few images were taken at an abandoned farm.
Images below are of a family friend's barn that was subject to an arson attack a few years ago. Such was the heat that it caused the steel beams to warp.
Photographs following are from the fist site I visited, it used to be a string factory and before that for peas. I have very vivid memories of walking in to a gloomy space, but a central area of light where part of the roof was missing, and all the foliage was twining itself around the threads of string hanging from the roof, growing toward the light source.
These were taken at a pair of caravans that turned up in a field fairly locally.
