FireFighters Perfect Light

Building flashlights and other light-based products is one of my favorite pastimes. Thus integrating this knowledge and experience into consumer products only seems natural. By having close friendships with Firefighters I can’t help but evaluate their gear and equipment. While some of their technology is state of the art, it was all too noticeable that their illumination tools were not. Simply put the options for a good flashlight is practically none existent in their field. I worked side by side with a number of these local heroes to design the light of their dreams. A light with multiple capabilities, one lens for narrow smoke piercing power, another for shear output and situational awareness boosting full color rendition for first aid work, as well as battery saving technology. The light has an adjustable head so that firefighters can keep it close to their body when situations call for crawling on their hands and knees. There is identical dimensions and attachment points on the base so it can be used with their current holsters and gear.
The final prototype sits next to its direct competition. My Prototype’s focused lamp has 3x the smoke penetration and 2x the output of the StreamLight with 5x the runtime. The Flood bulb for paramedic use and outside search-and-rescue has 6x the output of the StreamLight at over 700 lumens and still retains the same runtime with cutting edge Li-Polly rechargeable batteries.
