This was a one-of-a-kind vermeille and enamel Orchid Brooch Frame done for Jay Strongwater by commission for the Neiman Marcus 100th year anniversay..  The brooch had an ingenious mechanism that clipped on to the frame to be displayed when it wasn't being worn.  The center stone is a 7.5 ct purple sapphire, surrounded by diamonds, tsavorites, citries, and sapphires.  It's a stunning and uniquely original piece that was sold directly from the photograph before the client even saw it in person.
This was a fun little commission from Tiffany's. They never produced it but they asked for a few concepts for stunning pieces that Edie Sedgewick might wear to an Andy Warhol cocktail party.  Not your typical Tiffany's project, but it was a lot of fun.  The cup is made of silicone, on a platinum base, with diamond pave, and gold filaments tipped with enamel.  The filaments and the silicone tremble lightly when worn. I love the mix of an everyday material like silicone, which has a sensuality to it, with precious metals and gemstones.

This was part of the same project for Tiffany's. Thin gold filaments form a nest inside which is nestled a pave 'egg'.
Also a part of the Tiffany project, silicone is used again, this time in a bright translucent yellow.
This is a concept for Cevherun, a fine jewelry line out of Istanbul specializing in 24k gold and old world craftsmanship.
Also for Cevherun, some conceptual sketches utilizing typical Ottoman motifs.
I'm enamored with the eye motif as a symbol. Here it is in hammered 24k gold with a sapphire cabochon, for Cevherun.
I'm clearly more interested in hand made art, which naturally best suits hand made jewelry.  But technicals are sometimes necessary.  These are done in Illustrator.
This is a super exciting project which is near and dear to my heart.  You will be hearing more about this so stay tuned....
