For a motorcycle owner, his bike is a living thing, it has a personality. This thought was reflected in the 2006 calendar designed for Hero Honda. From a playful dolphin, to a powerful hawk, to a gentle flower..these images were painstakingly created by yours truly using parts from the bikes featured alongside.

The following year, we had a tough act to follow. This year's calendar idea was different. Hero Honda is such a part of people's lives across India, it finds reflection in the very art of the country. From madhubani to Thangka, we rendered the motorcycles in 6 different styles to make an artful calendar for 2007.

Provence, as the name suggests, is a property located in Gurgaon, but inspired by the beauty and lifestyle of the south of France. The client wanted the brochure to reflect the same. The result was this brochure which portrayed a languidly luxurious space.

Horlicks launched a new identity in 2009-10. The Visual identity system came with a ribbon band, with a unit of wheat sheafs and milk splashes. To use this across media in India was a tough task. The solution: a guideline, which not only laid down proportions for each of the elements int he band, but also how to use it in different formats. A new set of bands was also created which could be used in vertical and extreme horizontal formats. The usage extended to sub brands of Horlicks also. This guideline was shared with all brand managers, and became a useful tool while working with regional languages too.

Client: Airtel
Airtel uses a particular shade of red in its branding. However, across regions and media, the colour almost always changes shades. The client required a solution which not only gave the correct values of colour across media, from paper to acrylic, from enamel to digital; but also was portable, expandable and gave suggestions on the make of the media. The result was this book, developed after months of extensive proofing, testing and research, with help from one of the country's best production managers.

This design is for Pepsico's sustainability report for 2010. The task was to create an interesting, modern design using their graphics system. The text and visuals needed to be well-placed, and the colour scheme from the given palette, judiciously used for the inside sections. This 100-page document was the result, which was well-received, and appreciated by industry peers.

Max Bupa has a large team of sales professionals who promote their insurance products. They wanted a diary which not only served as a tool to keep appointment records, but would also help the sales force to start a conversation with a new prospect. The result was this: a diary which had on each of its pages, a health tip, factoid, joke or recipe. It worked also as a memento to the new prospects, who could use this for their personal records, and also get a daily health snippet.

2012 was deemed to be the year the world would come to an end. SRGP corp wanted a new year greeting card with a special message. This was the result: a play on 'The End', which, when the receiver opened the card, became a message about the end of all the evils that dog our society.

Client: Airtel
Airtel does a lot towards sustainability in their products, people policies, and relations with customers and vendors. They wanted to capture all this in their very first sustainability report.
The result was this: ‘The Blueprint of life’. Nothing in the human body is independent. When we include all the different functions the parts of our body do to sustain us, we see a clear metaphor: the body as a form to symbolise life, and what airtel does through its several services and inclusive measures, to enrich this life form.

The Magnolias update was a bi-monthly newsletter full of information and updates on the upcoming property 'Magnolias'. Since the handover of this property was delayed, buyers were an upset lot. The Newsletter worked as a link between the builders and their customers, and helped keep them engaged, while also establishing direct communication between the two.

Airtel faced a problem with their retail marketing. While their TVCs were well received in the metros, their sales were not doing so well in retail, specially in the smaller towns and villages. To find a solution to this, we conducted a little research by personally visiting some of the the stores. We found that amonst the clutter of information in a typical mobility store, airtel's communication didn't seem to have a standard template or guide. The typography, size, logo placement, colour usage, was all over the place (literally).
The solution suggested was to: a) create templates for different formats of communication: posters/ danglers/ price announcements/ rate lists and a host of other innovative formats b) Show how each of these formats would work for mobility/ internet/ Digital Tv/ Airtel Money and c) Create planograms to show how each of these should ideally be placed across different store sizes.
All of this was formulated and compiled into this retail guide.

RGS wanted to create a magazine, a yearbook which was a compilation of their 9 years of existence. While the cover captured their inspiration and vision, the insides were treated like a scrapbook full of memories from each year, starting from 2007 till the present day. This publication was presented to each of the school's present and past students, and was well appreciated by all.

Exterior view of desk calendar for 2016.
This calendar for Bharti Infratel was a compact size. The outer packaging had the name 'India' laser cut to reveal the graphic from the cover.

Exterior view of desk calendar for 2016.
The calendar slid out from this outer sleeve.
The inside pages of the calendar were based on the theme of 'connecting people' with the different states of India where Infratel operates. This was depicted by way of showing a means of travel, transport or large infrastructural construction which has brought the state, and its people, closer. Rather than create a photoshop collage, the images were blends of actual images with specially created watercolours to bring visual appeal on each page.

The desk calendar for 2017 was based on the future plans of Bharti Infratel. A business expanding rapidly to help the government in creation and management of smart cities, Infratel is actively creating a future for India. The theme, 'Postcards from the Future', was based on this vision, and how our country might look in the future with a strong commitment to retaining our precious culture .

The outer envelope of this calendar was 'sealed' much like someone receiving a package in the mail. It included an innovation. the metalised name on top was placed within the bounds of a perforated name tag. The recipient could tear this name tag out and use it on their personal luggage while traveling, thus rendering the metalisation useful.
Each page inside featured a dance form from one of the states Infratel operates in. This was merged with a futuristic looking city skyline. Infratel's infrastructure solutions featured prominently in each image, forming the bridge between the past and the future.
Each of these pages had perforation just above the datepad and below the wiro binding, so that the 'postcards themselves could be detached and used as pin ups by the recipient.

Medanta has a set of facilities available to its patients checking in for elective surgeries. They also have a few procedures and rules to be conveyed to the patients and their kin. Rather than create a handbook as a tool, we created a flipbook for them. This was rendered in English as well as hindi on back to back pages. Viewers could choose to flip through either using the tabs on the sides to go through the information.
Year: 2017
Agency: Ashabhi Design
Client: Bharti Infratel Limited

Bharti Infratel has a number of solutions through the various stages of setting up of smart cities across the country. To educate decision makers on their offering, a flipbook was designed. Carrying the same message on either side of the A-board, the pages could be viewed by the customer, and explained in detail by the sales person. The compact size made it easy to transport and set up, and delivered a more interactive experience than a regular powerpoint presentation.
