A Wedding in India is a very meticulously planned time consuming event that revolves around a lot of age old traditions and customs. It's very important to understand the entire process and the intricacies of a wedding to be able to work on a Kalyana Mandapam.
It houses rooms for the bride and groom, their family and friends, some storage place as the wedding process involves the use of lots of items like coconuts, rice etc. Proximity of the storage space and the bride and groom rooms to the mandap is very important.

The seating area of the ground floor hall with a capacity close to 1000 people is double height so the hall feels spacious. The height of the mandap area is much lower. This height difference accommodates a smaller first floor hall with a capacity of 350 people.
North Elevation
Entrance to the first floor hall from the west. Entrance from both sides of the buildings to the different halls helps manage the crowd when all the halls are in use simultaneously.
