PINK explores the space between individual beings. It bridges the gap between multiple entities to creating one form that is ever changing. With this piece, I explored the concept of a wearable that is either on or around the body and revisited a look that I had designed in a previous collection based on the concept of a 1920’s underwater invention. This look was quite literally a skin that surrounded the entire body. I found it interesting that this object abstracted the human anatomy into a kind of cellular unit, one that could potentially bridge with others to create a single living form that is made up of many abstracted bodies. The final garment is the product of this idea.
