District (2012)

 

Debuted at ISEA (International Symposium on Electronic Art) 2012, District is a gallery touring, interactive video art installation designed to create an immersive community experience within the context of our increasingly solitary, device-focused culture. Using 3D imaging systems, this project directly incorporates visitor gesture and movement to generate light-form characters. Growing a database from one build of the installation to the next, these light-forms then interact with each other within District, exploring the reciprocal relationship between community and individual.
