Nature and Platonic geometry

It is a crucial excercise in creative fields to be able to abstract and interpret what we see in our natural and artificial environments
What seems like a simple shape at a glance, may turn out to be far more complex than we ever could have imagined: quickly becoming a downward spiral of an ever-more abstracted concepts of math and perception
I began to sketch a living thing
And break it down into interesting geometries
The final piece was made from extra thick vellum, and lit internally
The leaves are made by scoring, and then pinching at either end
