The dress is inspired by bora, which means purple in Korean. Bora is also a katabatic wind, which occurs in Turkey, Greece, Russia, and Italy, among other countries. The subtle yet strong look is achieved through the culmination of traditional Korean dying methods with Japanese pattern-making techniques.
