For my Solidworks class in 2014, we were asked to use the process of 3D printing and the material potential of the filament to develop a connection method.

 

Most of the cows were printed using a Makerbot Replicator 2 because the PLA filament had better flexiblity when compared to the Objet printer

The flexing of the legs creates a tension fit into the slots on another cows back.
