In studying the history of graphic design, in this assignment we were tasked with drawing up two book covers in our chosen art movements, the first being that in the style of the Medieval Manuscript. Inspiration was taken much from the stylisation of old typography and lettering.
The second art movement I chose to work on was the Art Deco movement, again focusing on the kind of visuals that can be drawn to help portray said movement.
Picking out colours to add towards the final effect of book covers; shades of browns for the old, worn-down look, and hues of purple for the element of class and mystery.
