This carving was a challenge. The show was carved from a single piece of Tupleo wood and finished with several layers of acrylics (getting the sheen on the purple to give it a “satin” look was a bit tough). The straps are individually carved and inserted into the top of the shoe. There were so many different angles to be figured out along the way, a brain teaser indeed.
