Skype Redesigned - Material Design

LOGIN SCREEN

Why I changed?

Instead of having multiple accounts(Skype, Microsoft, XBox, Hotmail, Live) screen for Skype Login, I suggest that we integrate all of these accounts into one login screen and have the users enter their user name and password in this screen.
RECENT SCREEN

Why I changed?

1. Directly call a person, rather than clicking on his name and then calling him/her.
2. Reduced the fonts/size of each profile, thereby increasing the white space and keeping it simple.
FAVORITES SCREEN

Why I changed?

Very easy to access your favorite contacts. Large images and texts makes it very readable. It is also very easy to add contacts as favorites.
CONTACTS SCREEN

Why I changed?

Similar to Recent screen. Followed the material design pattern of Contacts. Advantage is that contacts are clearly sorted based on Alphabets. In the current Skype design, there isn't anything that demarcates change in Alphabets.
VIDEO SCREEN

Why I changed?

Kept this screen very simple. We are just having  3 buttons on screen - one for video, one for audio and last for calls. We can also add more people to this call as a part of the group Skype call.
PROFILE SCREEN

Why I changed?

Followed the Material design standards for Profile page. Currently, the Profile page on Skype consists of a small profile pic with status and the other 3 options. I decided that Status is not a necessary feature of Skype and hence, removed it from the screen.
