Statement:  This piece was created to examine the idea of beauty by contrasting the beauty of the roses and the female with the decay and idea of death shown in the female and skull centered under the female subject. The female was given visual hierarchy by scale and visual line weight is varied to help give depth to the piece. This piece as kept monochromatic to further emphasize the contrast of beauty and death.
