This dining table is a another of our original designs.

That being said, the yellow cedar top is a natural live edge design and we just made it flat and polished it! On the other hand, the base is part of our original collection.

 

The table top was treated with pigment colour and resin. This was used to fill in some gaps and cracks, and also to add some accent to the top. In order to keep adding character to the piece, we burnt the top with a blow torch. The burnt marks create an interesting contrast with the wood colour. Yellow Cedar is ideal for this type of distressed projects. Being a soft wood, it will get marked with time, gaining more and more character and style. We just hurry the process a little!

The base was coated with our usual patina, black distressed acrylic.
