My assignment was to make a book cover fot Edgar Allan Poe's novels.

 

The idea was to catch the essence of Poe's literary prowes and sow it into an illustration which then would be used as the cover of the book.

It was a fun experience illustrating for a book cover because it means you have to read and fall in love with what the story is about to effectively illustrate what the book signifies.
