Colin Williams's profile

NSF/ANSI 350-1 Certified Greywater Filtration System

This project was a collaboration between Dystil under the owner, Miles Keller and Greyter Water Systems. The objective was to create a residential unit capable of processing all the greywater produced by the average family home. Cost, ease of assembly, size and ergonomics were the main concerns of the project. I was placed in charge of client-designer contact (in addition to my roll as part of the design team) and coordinated the relationship between engineers and designers.
Product inspiration and early concept sketches.
Frontal form exploration.
Sizing accessibility and ergonomics.
Sketch for final form modeling.
Handles for easy installation and movement. The aluminum vertical segments are both aesthetic and functional as the unistrut framework.
