Beginning with an analytical exploration of Christopher Wren’s St. Paul’s Cathedral plan, this body of work aims to investigate multiple mediums, both emergent and traditional, in an attempt to synthesize the relationship between hand and machine. Moving from rigid orthogonal projections to a dynamic fluidity, the geometry attempts to materialize certain chaotic conditions that emerge within the initial diagrammatic study. Just as a cathedral aims to institute order in an ever-present society of disarray, the form attempts to resolve such chaos into distinct three-dimensional relationships that embody specific order and understanding.
