Good and evil coexists. They complete each other. This was demonstrated when sorrow, sickness and misfortune originated when the forbidden fruit was plucked. Disobedience fueled by an underlying curiosity. So now, the fruit lies, radiating red as ever like the blazing sun before us. The sun, the provider of all life. The origins. All shattered as it sucked away the very civilizations it had spawned. Taking away the life it had given and thus maintaining the balance of our universe.
