From the first moment I heard "Hurtful" it instantly got stuck in my head. I really liked the song and wanted to add my own 8-bit chiptune touch to it, add some buildup, but in the same time keep the original feel.
After making a blippy chiptune version of the track it was transfered over to our studio. It was then produced from scratch with he original vocal track from Erik Hassle, together with co-producer Håkan Müller.
The video is originally from the Roy Andersson movie En kärlekshistoria (A Swedish Love Story) but it's re-edited for this song.
The wonderful artwork is made by Emilia Forrest.
