Client Brief
to redesign the entrance space of the science centre which serves an introductory space to the
science centre.

Design concept
It talks about our living environment from the beginning of the life of our mother earth. It divided the spaces into 3 zones to tells the story of its development and the coming future where we human are involved.
Through the journey of the introductory space, visitors will gain and learn to give back to our
environment.

The whole entrance to the science Centre is a crucial introduction. The inspiration of my concept comes from the development of our earth mother. It can be expressed in a nutshell through the development of earth layers (left). I then transfer the idea of layers into the space(right).

OUR HABITAT
This is the first space to welcomes the visitors. Panoramic screen, contoure lines, earth tiers to nature environment. The environment could also hold a big crowd, function as a gather point.

DISAPPEARING HABITAT
Endangered spices are the victims to our human habitat development. Polar bear is one of the endangered spices. By re creating their habitat in our space, the visitors gets to experience by walking through the space on the “ice blocks.” It is also another message to address the problem with global warming.

REBUILD HABITAT
Reaching the end of the introductory space, it will be closed with the cardboard houses community. In this space, all the furnitures are made of cardboards.
