This group of illustrations is named "Plum Flower, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum", which are four plants used to describe a person's noble character in Chinese traditional culture. The four different qualities represented by each plant are: pride, secluded, persistent, and calm. Plum flowers bloom in winter, without fear of cold, so we regard them as a symbol of brave, pride and showy. Orchids open in distant valley, isolate and narcissistic. Bamboos always stand tall and straight, firm but also lovely. Chrysanthemum has a luxury appearance but with the elegant smell, is a symbol of charming and quiet.
