I've been in Connecticut for the past couple of weeks with siblings taking care of my mother in her last days. I don't know how long I'll be here. Getting away is challenging, but so necessary. I took these pictures yesterday morning when I had a chance to leave for 2 hours, and look forward to other days I can get some relief from having to be present. This is where I grew up but it no longer feels like home at all and for that I am thankful.
