Last Fall, I took an Introduction to Ceramics class as an elective, and our final was to create an animal-human hybrid sculpture of at least a bust. I really enjoy bats and Victorian style, so I felt the combination would be appropriate. In the time since his creation, Edgar has acquired a felted bow in his hair, just like a Victorian Gentleman would have his hair pulled back.
Edgar was created with sculpting clay, underglazes, and a clear-coat sealing glaze.
