BOUTIQUE HOTEL
This design idea for a boutique hotel in the Edgewater neighborhood of northern Chicago proposes the integration of urban and suburban aesthetic concepts for a unique user experience. The design presents a commentary on the openness of suburban neighborhoods, which is especially seen in the suburban sprawl of the mid 20th century. Rooms are designed to feel as home-like as possible, even offering reinterpretations of the American backyard with open views of the city beyond.
