Shin Wakabayashi
Burgeoning artist Shin Wakabayashi has the innate ability to intricately design, cut and sculpt paper into type, characters and highly detailed perspectives.
A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, Shin’s work is inspired by sharp corners, video games such as “Dynasty Warriors” and “Onimusha Warlords” and their historical context, as well as Japanese paper craft.
There were these fun paper craft model kits I made as a kid that came with the Japanese magazines that my parents used to buy… I always enjoyed making things and being in the process of it.
