The project is about mailbox. Nowadays, people hardly write letter and send it to friends or family, instead, they text or sent email to each other. The mailbox, which is everywhere, is becoming part of the road and neglected by pedestrian. I want to do something to arouse people’s passion to write letters. Since the normal mailbox is no longer attractive any more, I try to redesign it in an exaggerating way to bring mailbox back to people’s life.
Mouth can convey the emotion of love and miss, like you give a kiss to somebody. So I redesign the mail box as a big mouth with a body.

Differ from traditional mailbox, there are limited number of places(gum) for people to put mails, it means you have to hurry or you can’t send the mail this time. In this way people may pay more attention to letters and pick up the feeling they lost for a long period.

Another thing that is different from traditional mailbox is that the location of mouthbox is uncertain. If you want to experience it, you have to get the letter ready in case that one day you see the mouthbox but have nothing to mail. The mouthbox would wonder wherever she or he like.

For example, when you see the mouth with a bird body, it means it’s for ‘express’ mail, maybe the mailman will travel to a cdertain place in a few days and can deliver the mail there. And when you see a mouth squat or sit down on the floor, it means ‘I need a hug,i’m so lonely and etc. You may send you missing for the lover or family.
