This is inspired by Errol Morris's documentary Fast Cheap and Out of Control. This film documents and profiles the life and careers of four distinct subjects that are extraordinary in their respective fields. They each have fascinating personalities. Over the course of the film we learn about their different lives and professions but one cannot help but ignore the similar tone of nostalgia and longing in their stories. They constantly reminisce the past. This zine was inspired by the idea of nostalgia. Today our primary way of expressing nostalgia is our indulgence in the Throwback culture.
Through instragram and other forms of media we are often looking to relive experiences from our past. With the various outlets available today we are constantly at multiple places at the same time therefore in retrospect try to relive the experience to complete our memories.
Our methods are fast, cheap and most importantly out of control.
