PROJECT 1 - On Site Sketches
For the first project, we were assigned to produce 10 sketcheson site to express our views and personal perspectives of what vibe the Muzium Diraja gives of to us as individuals. In my sketches, i have expressed nothing more that what meets the eyes, what is drawn is as seen. These sketches taught us to look at more than just the structure and form of a building, individual modified aspects play a big role in design.
PROJECT 2 - Measured Drawings
This part of the project has taught me alot on data collection and the impotance of precise and accurate measurements. Taking measurements on site being in the Details Team opened my eyes more to the aesthetic aspects of a building and also learning different materiality in different ornaments. I also learnt the importance of working in a team of many. I have my group mates Christina, Li Ern, Hanis, Simon, Alvin, and Siew Leong to thank for guiding me through and working by me through all those sleepless nights this fast paced semester. Learning more about AutoCAD than I previously ever have, this project further enhanced my learning process and developed basic skills which will deffinately be helpful in the near future.
PROJECT 3 - Report & Video of Measured Drawings
The collection, correction, and compillation for the drawings of the report exposed me to a whole new world of team work and sleepless nights. Regardless of the changes made at last minute, and the painfull flaws of digital drawings, I've learnt that being precise is a very important aspect when documenting drawings and measurements, as accuracy with basic measurements of the numbers allow and ensure precise scales which will later help in producing 3D models, so on and so forth. I would also like to thank the Video and Report team for doing an amazing job with the final compilation. At last but not least, many thanks to our lecturers, Puan Yati and Puan Alia, for guiding us through this entire 2 months of work onsite and online :)
PROJECT 3
From producing a report in documenting this assignment, i have learnt that joint effort is important and that documentation of a building is a tedious task. It not only involves the historical backgroumg and structural timeline of a building, it also examines the dimensions and details or every inch on the structure.
