RICKSHAWALA  

This project is illustrated on a Rickshawala. Various situations in his life are shown in this project such as, his contacts with the travellers, with the people with different age, occupation, cast, status, etc. Entire life of the Rickshawala is spent with his cab. The Rickshawalas give their service day and night, no matter what the conditions are, hot summer, heavy rains or shivering cold. They always give respect to women and also give them a protected service. A cab driver devotedly gives a continuous service to school kids from dropping them in the school to bringing them back to home. Kids feel like a friend when they are with them. The fares are charged according to the meter so the passengers have to pay the appropriate charges.
    In the times of rush the Rickshawalas adjust as per the convenience of the passengers. In rural areas of India we don’t seem more vehicles. The people there use Rickshaw (Auto) for travelling. Hare while travelling, people beyond the capacity are filled in the auto. The luggage is just hanged as per the passengers wish. The Rickshawala don’t care for this and gives his service for his passengers.
    Few rich people travel by auto for only their love and affection towards it. The Rickshawalas always love their autos. They decorate the auto clean it at times. Also on the time of festivals or special occasions they decorate and offer coconuts and garlands as traditional way. Small details like this are shown in this project.
Short description of the illustrations and the rendering style can be as, the illustrations are made by using triangles and straight lines and also the flat brush strokes are used for describing the situations. Different angles of auto rikshaw are shown such as top, bottom, side and also timings like day- night, early morning and conditions in summer, winter and rainy season.
    The importance of a cab driver and his need for the society is described in this project. In simple situations of life like asking address, the correct address can be given by the Rickshawala only. The life of a cab driver is very closely connected with the cab. They share each and every situation of life with the Rickshaw, at new year day posters are posted on it and decorated in the same theme. His life is totally depended on the auto. He saves money very carefully for the auto and the auto in return give money for their family. The greatness of the Rikshawala is that in such conditions also he does the activities like donations for the society.
