This group of photo were taken during the visit to Toronto Islands in January 2015 for a design project. The islands are a chain of small islands in the city of Toronto, located offshore from the city centre and provide shelter to the harbor. The community resides on the islands constitutes a car-free zone. There are several popular recreational facilities available. 

 

Because of the project, I had to visit the islands in -15 degrees. The popular destination seemed deserted. The experience, however, was exhausted but interested at the same time. The photos offer a peak into the sensation of seeing Toronto from another time, a different angle, and a unique perspective.
