The hotel is to provide a new interactive space that is modular in both function and form. By creating a new space accessible from the Highline and Street level for workshops by the Institute of Play, to passive activities as well as becoming an event venue. By introducing a space of this programatic diversity, it turns the hotel into what normally is perceived as a space for tourists to becoming a bridge for both local and international residents to share a new dynamic experience. At the highline and street the boundary to enter the building is made large and inviting with a set back from the property line. As a result, the boundaries of the building seemingly disappear bridging the Highline and street together with program rather than just using generic infrastructure.
