One Line Design
How it all began...
I first started drawing these particular humanoid shapes seven years ago.  I was caught up in representing the body with as little detail as possible, but sufficient enough for it to remain clear what was being presented. At first, it was an experiment in drawing the human body with literally only one line on the paper. Although the exercise through many evolutions did not stay within the original parameters set, the results were still pleasing.

My artwork is composed of simple lines and bursts of color. I like to work with chalks, inks, watercolors, and acrylics. I want the images to speak for themselves. They are not fussy, nor is there anything to take away from what I am trying to represent. What you see is what you get.
This piece as much as it moves me, I have never truly been able to come up with a fitting name for it. Right now it is Rainbow Mother.
This piece is a mixture of Romeo and Juliet meets Adam and Eve. There is a sense of tragedy, overpowering love, and oblivion to the danger that surrounds the lovers.
This is an early piece. It speaks to the human need to be comforted, and dismisses the gender roles that one must be the "strong" gender while the other is the "weak" one.
For this piece, I was still obsessed with the "one line design" concept and wanted to represent love, pure and simple. The concept, the colors, and the end result were exactly as I'd hoped for.
The works that follow are products created with my artwork. Everything from bookmarks, to a necklace, and greeting cards.
Beaded jewelry based on the simple lines of my artwork.
Greeting cards based on my artwork.
