After seeing many reddit threads of amazing things people have knitted in their spare time I decided to give it a go. Thought it would be a good hobby to pick up in my spare time, would let the creative side take another angle too. Only issue was I knew nothing about knitting, luckily my wife does and is subscribed to this knit & stitch magazine. It basically showed me everything I needed to know, and anything it didn't YouTube was only a few clicks away.
These are but a few of the scarfs I picked out from various shop sites that I would love to try and recreate.
Picked a wide range of colours to see what I prefered. Definietely felt the darker or more pastel colours suited my preference and style.
Did not know which stitch types I wanted for sure so got a few to see. Ended up going for a simpler one as i'm rather new!
All in all it took me 3 weeks to do. This was mainly down to me failing the first time, had to restart, hence the wrong colour. Still very happy with the result though. So cosy and was all me (well little help from my wife).
Would definitely recommend knitting to others, very theraputic and I got a nice new scarf out of it. Next project will probably be a matching hat!
