A project looking at the way media meant to connect us is separating us from our emotions. When you see that someone you know has died on social media, it flattens them into the same plane as a news article. You see it through such a long lens that it is almost as if it isn't real.

When someone dies, there are many scripted actions we perform publicly to mourn. We are expected to cry so the public knows we are sad. On social media we comment, or send virtual flowers, post pictures to show our connection or prove our sadness.

These glasses will cry for you, to take off the burden of performing for others. Much in the way we can comment on how sad we are on social media without shedding a single tear.
