I'd like to thank Fernanda Lopes and João Henrique Pereira, my partners at this project.

This was a very interesting project to make.
It was thursday, Photography day! I was anxious wondering what would be that day's proposal.
The professor took us to this table full of totally random objects and said: "Choose something".
There were so many things, and so little time.
After taking a fast look at them all, my choice was this little black box; I had no idea what was inside. I thought twice about changing it before it was too late.
Time was over, everyone had it's choice made.
He said: "Now, relate it to the book 'Itinerário De Uma Crise: a Modernidade'!"
We had just read it (it talks about the Modernity crises) so it was fresh in my mind! Many ideas started floating, what would I do?
I already had in my hands my object of choice so I would have to deal with whatever it was. I looked at that little box and opened it.
I was so relieved! The idea of a photography project just popped in my brain!
The box was full of needles and threads.
It reminded me of when I was a little girl in my mother's clothing store and played with the pins in my finger tips, just dead skin (blame the guitar playing).
So I instantly knew what I would do: relate the people's manipulation (media, social habits etc) in the modernity with marionettes, by stitching my own finger tips.
