This was a stool I designed for the W Hotel in downtown New York City. My focus was utilizing the aethetics of the interior to reflect and inspire the design of this piece of furniture.

The materials I used were plywood and 1.5'' acrylic rods. My process started with handbending each rod after heating each one in a plastics oven.
After making each bend consistent and uniform, I then table sawed the legs to the exact length and built the inner plywood V with grooves for each acrylic rod to rest in and paint it black.
