Book Cover: A River Runs Through It

This book left a lasting impression on me. An autobiographical story of two brothers united by the blood that runs through their veins and a love of flyfishing, divided by life. The river is such an apt metaphor that simultaneously ties the brothers together and also stands between them: The narrator, Norman, on one bank with a wife and family and respectable teaching career and Paul on the other with a gambling problem and alcohol addiction.

In my cover, I've tried to capture that idea of "same but different", unity and variety, opposites but reflections of each other, and of course the division between them. The river runs up the spine of the book as a final division between front and back.
