A walking stick is a device used by people to facilitate balance while walking. A walking stick can also be used as an accessory to display signs of social standing and wealth. In my case, I wanted to challenge the status of the traditional walking canes by embracing their formal qualitites but expanding on their ihnerent absurdity.
I designed the main body in Rhino to be cut out on a CNC router. The other parts were made by hand or on a lathe.
The result was a beautifully weird object.
