I began making the structure by filling a plastic bag with scrunched up newspaper and feeding it through a foam tube.
I added simple nose and chin structures and taped over for strength.
I elongated the chin with layered cardboard, added in brow lines and an upper lip then covered the front in plaster to create a smooth base to paint on.
I created the ears by moulding the shape out of thin wire then using paper mache to fill it in/
I used wall paint for my model to create a matt finish.
I created the hat the same way I did the ears.
I created the collar out of cardboard and dry brushed the top hat black to give an old, dirty look to it.
I added lacquer to the eyes to make the shine and stand out.
Finally i added in some shading around the eyes and under the cheek bones and painted the stand for a more dramatic effect.
