Ping Pong Project : A Few Words to Live By

This project was done under the cooperation of two people creating a single piece. Using different media, we passed around images and collages that contained any information each wanted to add and used the sources to build up a endless story. Under the restricted time of ten minutes per person, we made bizzare and hilarious collection of 100 images like below.
After this excercise, we tried to find similarities and connections that were happening between these images. My partner and I realized that we tend to cover up common issues or information with goofy or entertaining images or words. That gave us the idea of 'censorship' where media or common quotes blinding people from seeing the twisted truth with appealing comments.
There are three sections in this book 'A Few Words to Live By' that are dealing with controversial issues that are still happening today: sexism, racism and war (terrorism).
These are the three collages that represent the uncomfortable happenings.
